In honor of the 100th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s death, the legendary conductor Zheng Xiaoying, at the remarkable age of 95, took to the podium on September 5, 6, and 13, 2024, leading full-length performances of Puccini’s iconic opera Tosca at Fujian Grand Theatre (Fuzhou) and Xiamen Jiageng Theatre.
Maestro Zheng has once again shattered boundaries, setting a glorious new world record as the oldest conductor to helm a complete production of Tosca. This historic feat not only celebrates Puccini’s enduring legacy but also embodies the timeless power of music to transcend age and inspire generations.
